Project Manhood
The Project Perseverance mentorship program, Project Manhood is designed to enhance self-esteem, foster respect for self and others, reinforce discipline and reduce potential for violence in the target group, provide nonviolent conflict resolution techniques, ensure individual accountability for actions, foster supportive mentoring relationships, reduce the number of school dropouts and suspensions and improve test taking skills.

Lamplighters is a mentorship and guidance program under Project Manhood which is governed by Project Perseverance, Inc., a public service, non-profit, tax exempt corporation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Program entry is based upon parent/student application with signed consent from a/the legal parent/guardian(s).

Lamplighters
Goal
To enhance the lives of young men through relationship and positive reinforcement with mentorship and guidance.
purpose
To grow boys mentally, spiritually, physically, and emotionally through male mentorship. The range is from 8 – 13 years of age.
mission
The mission of the Lamplighters program is to enhance the lives of young men through relationship and positive reinforcement with mentorship and guidance.
Vision
To cultivate and encourage exemplary character (Manhood), scholastic achievement (Scholarship), teach and cultivate life skills (Perseverance), and to promote community service (Uplift) in each mentee.

Expectations
All mentees will be treated fairly and equally. Mentees will be provided with awesome experiences that will require self-discipline and self-control. These will be precepts taught throughout the program as well through various experiences. All mentees are expected to enter the program with:
An understanding of self-control and self-discipline
A positive attitude
A willingness to work and learn new things
A willing parent/guardian participant
